Principal's Message

Chris.jpgWelcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  I am SUPER excited to begin my eighth year at Condit Elementary School.  I feel so fortunate to be a part of this AMAZING community.  Condit is my second home.  The staff, students and families feel like my own family.  I have enjoyed watching all of our students grow up over the years.

This school year will be filled many exciting experiences for our students and I look forward to working with all of our families.  If  you have questions or concerns throughout the year, please call or  email me, so that we can address them together.  Our teachers continue to develop and refine amazing California Standards lessons to help prepare our students for their futures.

This year, our third and fourth grade teachers will continue with their implementation of iPads in the classrooms.  Thanks to funding through the Claremont Educational Foundation, CUSD assistance, and Parent-Faculty Association (PFA) funding, almost all of our fifth grades will have 1:1 use of iPads, as well as our SDC classroom.  Some other exciting news is that our students in kindergarten through second grade will have access to a set of six iPads to be used at the teacher's discretion in each of the classrooms.  All of the teachers have or will receive professional development to maximize the use of the iPads for instruction.

I continue to express my gratitude to our teachers, staff and families who provide such an incredible amount of support to help make all of our students successful. Condit has an amazing energy and passion that is evident in everything we do. In 2014, we were recognized as a California Distinguished School, which I attribute to all of our communities' collective efforts. We continue to be thankful for the generous donations and wonderful volunteers. We could not do it without you!

I look forward to being a part of each and every one of our students academic and developmental accomplishments as they grow this year. As a staff, we will continue our goal to make sure we look at each student as an individual, and guide them through to their success collaboratively. Condit is truly a unique and special place.
Our students will continue to participate in 100 Mile Club. Grades K - 3 will continue to participate on Fridays from 1:00 - 1:45 PM. Students in grades 4 - 6 will participate in the 100 Mile Club on Fridays from 2:00 - 2:45 PM.

Please check your newsletter (twice a month) for information on upcoming events, awards assemblies, and other special information. The newsletter will be posted on the website and can also be e-mailed to your home. I look forward to getting to know all of our students and their families. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at 909-398-0300 or through my e-mail

Thank you for your support!
Condit ROCKS!
